Welcome to The Wicked Lady

Win a case of champagne. Click here to complete our surveyNomansland was once a haunt of the Wicked Lady, a highwaywoman unmasked after her death as Lady Ferrers of Markyate. The Inn here only recently took her name, but Ferrers Lane crossing the common is a very real legacy of her notorious past.

Use of the common goes back hundreds of years including cock fighting, horse racing, and cricket. Today the common land is used by visitors to the area and the villagers alike, but now they can boast a beautiful pub putting 'Nomansland' on the map for reasons such as heart warming food, beers, wines and fresh juices.

Christmas Menus now onlineThe Inn is now completely renovated and features log fires in the winter and a large alfresco patio for the finer weather. The dining area is spacious, yet bustling with chatter and warmth as food is served fresh from the kitchen and the market that day by staff who care passionately about your time with us.

The pub is rich with comfort, so whether your visit is a brief one or indulgent, enjoy!
